PUMPKIN SPICE LATTES!!!
So. Good.
Well, our contractor turned out to be a flake. I hear this is to be expected when doing home renovations. To make a long story short, the guy seemed a bit needy and unsure of himself, with definite emotional stability issues. When he couldn't get a hold of Jason by phone right away on Monday morning (keep in mind, we'd verbally confirmed with him Sunday night), he decided to take another job.
That's right - we had him scheduled to be at the house at 10 a.m. Monday, we both left our offices in plenty of time to meet him there, but because he couldn't get a hold of Jason at 8:30 a.m. for yet ANOTHER verbal confirmation, he flaked.
Which is actually a blessing in disguise for us. Who wants someone like that in their house?
So back to square one. We have another guy lined up for this Monday, and he seems like a surer bet. In fact, he met up with Jason at Lowes last night to purchase the materials (after we went to pick out our Halloween pumpkins. How much fun is that?!?).
So a week from now, we should have new insulation and fresh drywall up in the living room and den!
Cross your fingers for us...
