Autumn Pictures

As most of you know, Jason and I are in the midst of giving our house a facelift. Paint is pretty cheap and easy, but artwork? SO EXPENSIVE!!! So we decided to take pictures around Tacoma ourselves, and frame the best ones. About two weeks ago, we took off with the camera... and this is what we came up with.

First, the Union Street corridor; it's one of the most sought-after streets for homeowners.

University of Puget Sound is also on this street, and we took several pictures of the school as well:

Next, we headed to the Stadium district. Jason went to Stadium High School for three years. You may recognize it from the movie "Ten Things I Hate About You." It was originally built as a luxury hotel, but has been repurposed. I've been inside, and it's amazing.

Near the end of the day, we went to Point Defiance. It's one of the largest urban parks in the U.S., and a beautiful place to spend an afternoon. They have the Japanese Gardens, a zoo, and Five Mile Drive. If any of you ever come visit us, I'll take you to see it in person - it's absolutely stunning.

We finished the day at Tully's Coffee... this is a Tacoma trademark, and a great place to relax:

Caught Jason off guard. :)

Den remodel pictures coming tomorrow - you won't believe the progress. Here's a "before" shot...

Your pics are breathtaking! You should sell them:) As much as I've enjoyed living in other places, I've always enjoyed coming home to TX...then I look at your pics and I wonder why? Thanks for the comment about the election. So far, your the only one brave enough to share an opinion. I could have written 20 pages on why we should not elect Obama, it's mind baffling that he is even a candidate. I guess all we can do as we sit and watch...is pray!
